REPLACEMENT LAYOUT FOR A GAMING TABLE

A gaming table layout (10) which includes a pad (12) having a base member (14) made from foam, rubber, or the like and a cover (18) made from polyester, vinyl, natural fabric, or the like material is disclosed. The cover (18) is secured to the base member (14). In order to place the pad (12) on a gaming table (32), the rail or sidewalls (30) of the table are removed. A pad (12) which has been sized to fit on a particular table is placed on the top of the table. The sidewalls (30) of the table are then replaced. The pad does not need to be secured on the board (34) and stays in place because of the nature of the pad material. As further reinforcement however, screws which secure the sidewalls (30) to the tabletop (34) may also be screwed into the layout (10) so as to further prevent the pad from being displaced as the table is used. When it is necessary to replace the pad (12) the sidewalls (30) of the table are removed and the pad is lifted off of the tabletop (34). A replacement pad which has been sized for the table is then placed on the tabletop. The table is then reassembled.
