Self-synchronizing current cipher for route encryption over fault-prone transmission channel, uses output unit to take over data from cipher device when sync signal is activated

A method for safe encrypted data transmission in which a receiving unit temporarily stores earlier read-in code-text, and the cipher device estimates the code-current from the code-text current of the receiving unit and a secret code. An output unit is connected to the cipher device and transmits to the respective mixer, and then takes over the data from the cipher device, when the sync signal is active. The sync signal is triggered/released by a counter which counts the data blocks processed by the mixer, and is reset when a set value is reached, or is triggered by a comparison unit with simultaneous resetting of the counter.
