METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING MOLTEN SLAG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a molten slag with no necessity of a wide treating place in the case of solidifying the slag of a molten state and further of a loading and unloading facility for discharging many shallow bottom containers and the solidified slag and an apparatus for treating the molten slag used therefor. SOLUTION: The method for treating the molten slag comprises a first step of thinly discharging the slag of the molten state into the shallow bottom container 11 and forcibly primarily cooling to solidify the slag of a high temperature state, a second step of conveying the container 11 for containing the slag of the solidified high temperature state to a secondary cooling place for secondarily cooling the slag, and a third step of discharging the slag at the secondary cooling place from the container 11 and cooling the slag. The apparatus 10 for treating the molten slag comprises a transporting vehicle 12 having a tiltable luggage carrier 32, a support base 14 having expansion supporting legs 15 and mountable on the carrier 32 of the vehicle 12, and the container 11 removably fixed onto the base 14.
