PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device with which assembly work is easy and the leakage of toners may be effectively prevented. SOLUTION: A sealing member 54 is reinforced by a reinforcing member 56 affixed to its cleaning blade 48 side and therefore even when the end 48a of the cleaning blade 48 is abutted on the reinforced part, the deformation of the reinforced part is lessened and the sealability at an end face 48a may be improved. The segment of the sealing member 54 not affixed with the reinforcing member 56 is easily deformable and therefore this segment acts like a compression spring and is eventually pressed to the end face 48a. Since a portion of the sealing member 54 is provided with a segment where the deformation is positively easy, there is no need for making the assembly accuracy of the sealing member 54 as high as heretofore and the assembly workability is improved.
