PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas burner which enables one-hand operation in igniting gas and quenching combustion gas. SOLUTION: A burner body 1 is provided with a first gas hole 7, a second gas hole 8, an on-off valve V2 fixed between the first gas hole 7 and the second gas hole 8, a valve control piston which constitutes a valve control device D for opening and closing the on-off valve V2 and which is divided into front and rear valve control pistons 25, 31 by a separating sheet 17, and an ignition piston 15 for permitting the pistons 25, 31 to move backward in interlock with the backward movement of the piston 15 itself.
