PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate feed control and satisfactorily perform image formation with a high throughput irrespective of paper size when realizing double-side copying by a structure not having any intermediate tray but using a double-side conveying path unit 10, in the case of an image forming device, equipped with paper housing parts 62 and 63 for housing paper sheets of the same kind, wherein consumption of paper in the nearer housing part 62 is suppressed while shortening a first copying time, by feeding at least the first paper sheet for image formation from the housing part 62 shorter in feed time and feeding the following paper sheets from the housing part 63 longer in feed time. SOLUTION: At first, paper is fed from the paper housing part 62. When paper sheets with their surfaces printed reach a number that can be housed in the unit 10, switching to the paper housing part 63 takes place. This eliminates troubles such as an improper interval between paper sheets, a time loss, occurrence of jam, or inappropriate image formation, as in the cases where switching takes place when a fixed number of sheets have been used. |
