摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus for monitoring an optical performance of a WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) optical transmission system is provided to measure a channel-classified power and an ASE(Amplified Spontaneous Emission) noise of a WDM signal and measures a channel-classified OSNR(Optical Signal-to-Noise Ratio). CONSTITUTION: An 1xN optical coupler(300) divides a WDM optical signal branched from an optical transmission path and outputs the divided WDM optical signals. A plurality of 1x2 optical couplers(310) receive the optical signals divided through the 1x N optical coupler(300). A plurality of optical fiber Bragg gratings(320) receive the optical signals from a plurality of 1x2 optical couplers(310), select an optical signal with a specific wavelength, and output the selected optical signal to a plurality of 1x2 optical couplers(310). A plurality of optical detectors(330) receive the optical signal selected by a plurality of optical fiber Bragg gratings(320) from a plurality of 1x2 optical couplers(310), and detect a power of the selected optical signal. An optical detector(331) receives the optical signals divided from the 1xN optical coupler(300) and detects the total power of the optical signals. A channel multiplexer(340) successively inputs the optical signals detected from a plurality of optical detectors(330) and the optical detector(331) to an analog/digital converter(350). The analog/digital converter(350) converts an analog optical signal power successively inputted through the channel multiplexer(340) into a digital value. A signal processor(360) receives the digital signal from the analog/digital converter(350), measures a channel-classified power and a total ASE noise power of the WDM optical signal, and measures a channel-classified OSNR.
