PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging unit, in which a lens barrier is positioned at the inside of a window part, when the lens barrier is at closed position. SOLUTION: A return spring 94 is arranged at an epicyclic gear 68 and an arm 80, and when the epicyclic gear 68 is moved in the direction of an arrow A, revolution is prioritized by applying a load to the rotation of the epicyclic gear; and when a stopper 90 abuts on a regulating wall 70B, the revolution of the epicyclic gear 68 is stopped through the arm 80. Thus, the epicyclic gear 68 performs the rotation, and the cam groove 68A of the epicyclic gear 68 is moved along a cam 92A, and the epicyclic gear 68 ascends by moving spirally along a center shaft 92. Thus, the lens barrier 38 provided on the upper face of the epicyclic gear 68 is pushed up, and the top panel 38A of the lens barrier 38 and the designed face 15 of a surface housing 10A are flush with each other. Thus, a level difference will not be caused between the lens barrier 38 and the surface housing 10A, so that refuse or dust will not deposit.
