BUILT-IN DOUBLE BAND ANTENNA IMPLEMENTING APPARATUS OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL AND WHIP ANTENNA INTERLOCKING METHOD

PURPOSE: A built-in double band antenna implementing apparatus of a mobile communication terminal and a whip antenna interlocking method are provided to accomplish a variety of designs, reliability, and convenience for mobile communication. CONSTITUTION: A built-in double band antenna implementing apparatus of a mobile communication terminal comprises a built-in double band antenna(108), an RF switch(106), a duplexer(102), a controller(100), a whip antenna driver(104), and a whip antenna(110). The built-in double band antenna(108) includes a first band antenna(ANT1) for upper frequency band and a second band antenna(ANT2) for lower frequency band. The antenna(ANT1) is formed as a meander line type on a substrate(114) that is elongated from a terminal main PCB(112). The antenna(ANT2) is formed as a meander line type on a substrate(116) that is elongated vertically from a terminal main PCB(112). Feeding points of the antennas(ANT1,ANT2) are allocated at the center of the main PCB(112). The whip antenna driver(104) moves the whip antenna(110) to the inside or the outside of the terminal under control of the controller(100). The RF switch(106) selectively connects the built-in double band antenna(108) and the whip antenna(110) under control of the controller(100).
