<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin for toner which can maintain both of low temperature fixing property and storage property in a good state, which does not inhibit developing of colors of pigments or dyes dispersed in the resin and which has excellent transparency, and to provide a toner by using the resin. SOLUTION: The resin for toner is polyester resin having a polyester component (A) prepared by condensation polymerization of diols and dicarboxylic acids and a polyester block component (B) prepared by condensation polymerization of diols having branched chains (preferably fatty acid diols or alicyclic diols) and dicarboxylic acids (preferably acids having terephthalic acid skeletons) as the structural components. The weight average mol.wt. of the polyester block component (B) ranges from 2×102 to 3×104, and the polyester block component (B) is preferably included by 20 to 90 mol%. The toner contains the above resin for the toner and a coloring agent.</p> |
