PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel cord for tires improved in both corrosion resistance and durability after the completion of tire products and also improved in the energy efficiency in tire curing process, and to provide radial tires using the steel cords. SOLUTION: This steel cord with a (m+n) twist structure comprises a core 11 having m wires W and a sheath 12 having n wires W; wherein the space between the core 11 and the sheath 12 is filled with a filler 13 consisting of a uncured rubber compound or thermoplastic elastomer compound.
