PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm device which can drive diaphragm blades and an ND filter independently of each other, and is small-sized and inexpensive, and easily mounted on a lens barrel. SOLUTION: A case 101 contains an ND blade 108 fitted with the ND filter 106, a separator 109, and diaphragms blades 104 and 105. Motors 102 and 112 are mounted side by side on one end part in the moving direction of the diaphragms blades 104 and 105, i.e., the same surface side of the case 101. The motors 102 and 112 move the stop diaphragms 104 and 105 and ND blade 108 independently of each other.
