PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely pass the whole of gas to be processed through the lowest temperature required for removal of any component to be processed even without providing a large processing chamber in a heat storage type gas processing apparatus, and hereby ensure a high processing efficiency. SOLUTION: In a heat storage gas processing apparatus 1, there is mixed a fuel (e.g. town gas) of a quantity that is less than combustible limit concentration at ordinary temperature into gas to be processed on a gas introduction passage 10. In an early stage after the operation is started, the gas to be processed is hated by a burner 8 (a starting time heater) to process a component to be processed, and after heat storage layers 2a to 2c are heated with heat exchange, the gas to be processed with heat generated by the mixed fuel to process the component. |
