PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas wiping method by which the productivity, the flexibility of production and the quality of a hot dip metal coated wire rod, are improved and the coated weight can be uniformized regardless of a line speed. SOLUTION: The gas wiping is applied by setting a slit gas to 0.1-0.5 mm and a gas injection angle to >=10 deg. upward and 60 deg. downward to the horizontal line.
