Decontamination reactor system and method of using same

Methods for decontaminating contaminated water comprise treating the contaminated water with oxidizers such as oxygen, ozone, and/or hydrogen peroxide to provide a reaction mixture, and contacting the reaction mixture with a free radical inducer. Preferably, the methods of the invention and the apparatus used therefore induce the presence of small bubbles of oxygen and/or ozone, but minimize the presence of large visible bubbles of oxygen and/or ozone.
