PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ruler capable of being easily grasped even if the ruler (1) having a same shape as the conventional thin plate-like ruler main body is placed on a flat place such as a desk or the like, being easily found on the desk or the like by means of color or shape even if the ruler (1) made of transparent or semi-transparent material, and further being easily found even if the ruler is sandwiched between documents or the like or is disposed below paper. SOLUTION: A protuberant portion (2) serving as a holding knob is attached to the ruler main body (1). Further, the protuberant portion (2) is made prominent by means of color or shape.
