PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage by a hard foreign matter, such as metal, fed together with garbage, to prolong the life of a crushing blade and to improve crushing efficiency. SOLUTION: The disposer mounted with the crushing blade 14 at a crushing blade plate 13 at the bottom of a crushing chamber 12 is constituted to detect and coarsely crush the foreign matter by rotating the crushing blade plate at a low speed in one direction in starting. The crushing blade plate is rotated at a high speed after the specified time. Both flanks of the crushing blade are used and when the impact is high, the one flank is used at the low speed. When the impact is small, the garbage is treated by the other flank under the high-speed rotation. The crushing efficiency is further improved if the blow blade 14 is swingably mounted and the swinging of its one side is prevented by a stopper 16 and if the crushing blade is rotated at the low speed in the swingable direction in starting and after the specified time, the crushing blade 14 is rotated backward and the garbage is subjected to the crushing treatment under the high-speed rotation. |
