PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of facilitating the work when assembled, reducing in assembly cost, and preventing burning of a tip cover due to electric discharge even when used together with a high frequency treatment device and having excellent durability. SOLUTION: A size of a cover glass 20 arranged at a tip of an objective lens 17 fixed in a metallic lens frame member 19 is set to such size that covers the whole front face of the lens frame member 19.
