PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke-diminishing unit of a roasting device for roasting coffee beans supplied from a feeding hopper in a roasting machine and then transferring them into a cooling tank, capable of solving problems in that the fuel cost for a burner becomes high and the structure of its facility becomes a large scale. SOLUTION: This smoke-diminishing unit of the roasting device for roasting beans supplied from the feeding hopper 2 in the roasting machine 1, then transferring them into the cooling tank 3 and linking a smoke-sucking fan 4 to the above roasting machine and a sucking and cooling fan 5 to the above cooling tank 3 is provided by linking the exhausting side of the above smoke-sucking fan to a smoke cyclone 6, the exhausting side of the above sucking and cooling fan to a cooling cyclone 7, the dust side discharging port of the above cyclone 6 to a large furnace 8 equipped with a burner 13 through a connecting pipe 10 and the dust side-discharging port of the above cooling cyclone 7 to a small furnace 9 without equipped with the burner or a smokestack 19 through an exhausting pipe 16, setting an exhausting pipe 16 in the large furnace 8 as a mixing part 17, forming plural sucking-in ports 20 on the circumferential surface of the mixing part 17 and mounting a pent roof 21 on each of the inner surfaces of the sucking-in ports 20.
