PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vacuum forming mold enabling easy manufacture of a mold even when the shape thereof is complicated and being inexpensive, regarding the forming mold used for vacuum forming and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A large number of fillers are joined in an erected state to the surface of a matrix by attraction by static electricity and a metal plating layer of a prescribed thickness is formed on the surface of the matrix by a reduction plating method and an electroplating method. The fillers left in the metal plating layer are dissolved thereafter by a solvent. An inorganic air-permeable filling material is filled at the back of the metal plating layer as occasion calls.
