The invention relates to a feedstuff used as a performance promoter or as an appetite promoter for domestic animals, whereby said feedstuff contains conventional feedstuffs such as cereals or cereal products, corn, proteins and aromatic amino acids, vitamins, mineral aggregates such as salts, phosphates, lime, enzymes and the like, or relates to a feedstuff additive, whereby a protoberberine alkaloid or derivatives thereof or synthetic analogs are contained therein in an effective quantity, preferably in conjunction with a benzophenanthridine alkaloid or derivatives thereof or synthetic analogs. The invention also relates to the use of protoberberine alkaloids or of a combination consisting of benzophenanthridine alkaloids and protoberberine alkaloids or derivatives thereof or synthetic analogs or of plant material containing these alkaloids in order to promote performance in domestic animals. |
