PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide release paper used in the production of synthetic leather and capable of imparting peach skin-like appearance and touch to the surface of the synthetic leather, and the synthetic leather manufactured using the same and having peach skin-like appearance and touch on the surface thereof. SOLUTION: The release paper is manufactured by providing a releasable resin layer 2 having fine unevenness formed on its surface on one surface of base material paper 1, coating the releasable resin layer with a synthetic resin to form a synthetic resin layer 5, and peeling the synthetic resin layer 5 to form a surface. A part of the synthetic resin, infiltrated in the recessed parts of the fine unevenness, is broken and the broken synthetic resin 5' remains the recessed parts of the fine unevenness. The fine unevenness is preferably set so that arithmetic average roughness Ra is 0.5-15μm, an average interval Sm is 0.5-10μm and an average inclinationθa is 45-90 deg.. By using this release paper 10, the excellent peach skin-like synthetic leather can be easily provided by a known paste coating method or a dry method.
