PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately measuring the flow rate of fluid. SOLUTION: When the fluid flows in a forward direction, a flow rate Qs per specific time is stored additionally, and then it is judged whether the total stored flow rate Q0 exceeds a specific threshold QE or not. If the threshold QE is exceeded, a storage state is cancelled and then the total flow rate Q0 is integrated into a flow rate Q of the entire fluid. Otherwise, the total flow rate Q0 is not integrated into the flow rate Q of the entire fluid and the storage state is maintained. On the other hand, when the fluid flows in a backward direction, the flow rate Qs per specific time is stored by subtraction, and then it is judged whether the total stored flow rate Q0 exceeds a specific threshold QE or not. When the threshold QE is exceeded, the total flow rate Q0 is not integrated into the flow rate Q of the entire fluid and the stored state is cancelled and the state is judged as backward flow failure. Otherwise, the total flow rate Q0 is not integrated into the flow rate Q of the entire fluid and the storage state is maintained.
