PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate for an electrode, capable of lighten requirements for tensile strength with respect to a separator for the battery, and also capable of maintaining excellent cushioning property without causing a thickness change by tensile force. SOLUTION: Nonwoven fabric 3, 4 are superimposed on the both sides of metallic foil 2 having many fine openings 2a, and the metallic foil 2 and the nonwoven fabric 3, 4 are laminated by entangling the fiber of the nonwoven fabric through the opening and entwining it around the opening, in order to form the laminate 1 for an electrode. A battery is produced by winding or superimposing the laminate 1.
