PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a compressor from sucking wet vapor when reverse cycle defrosting operation is performed. SOLUTION: Before starting defrosting operation, an indoor electronic expansion valve is opened and a refrigerant in an indoor unit side is collected in a liquid receiver (18). Gas refrigerant in the liquid receiver (18) is made to flow into a suction side pipe (28) through a gas bypass pipe (35) by opening a solenoid valve (36) of the gas bypass pipe (35). The solenoid valve (36) of the gas bypass pipe (35) is closed when the superheat degree of the refrigerant sucked by the compressors (11 and 12) become a specified value or lower.
