PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent each electrode layer from being exfoliated from a bonding interface of a piezoelectric/electrostriction layer in the case of manufacturing, in a laminated piezoelectric/electrostriction element which is formed by cutting crosswise an original element sheet having a large area, and prevent deterioration of physical characteristic caused by exfoliation. SOLUTION: This laminated piezoelectric/electrostriction element is a square plate laminate which is formed by laminating alternately first electrode layers 11, second electrode layers 12 and piezoelectric/electrostriction layers 13. Each end portion of the electrode layer 11 positioned on the surface of the laminate exists at a position retreating from each end surface of the laminate. Tips of the electrode layers 11, 12 positioned inside the laminate are exposed on the end surface of the laminate in the state surrounded by the piezoelectric/ electrostriction layers 13. |
