OIL REMOVING METHOD OF OIL-CONTAINING CONTAMINATED LAYER BY ULTRASONIC VIBRATION

PURPOSE:To simply and rapidly remove oil, by bringing an oleophilic and hydrophobic oil absorbing material into contact with oil-containing contaminated layer to subject the same to ultrasonic oscillation to release oil in said oil- containing contaminated layer while adsorbing the released oil with the oil adsorbing material. CONSTITUTION:For example, an oleophilic and hydrophobic oil adsorbing material 3 is laid on the oil-containing contaminated layer on the bottom part 1 of a petroleum tank. In the next, step, a vibrator 4 is arranged so as to be contacted with the surface of the oil adsorbing material 3 through hanging metal fittings 5 by a crane. A washing liquid is supplied onto a floor surface 1 so as to immersed said oil adsorbing material 3 and vibrated by an oscillator 6 to generate ultrasonic waves. The oil in the oil-containing contaminated layer 2 is separated by the ultrasonic waves and adsorbed with the oil adsorbing material 3. The vibrator 4 is moved through the crane and the oil on the entire surface of the oil-containing contaminated layer 2 is adsorbed.
