PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falsework capable of shortening the construction period by reducing the high-level work, preventing it from being swayed, and reducing the number of part items or the like and being simply and quickly assembled or disassembled and to provide its assembling/disassembling method. SOLUTION: A pair of first extension masts 14 are removably installed on a block stage 13a temporarily provided in a boiler furnace 11. Drive frames 17 having drive devices 16 are liftably coupled with a pair of extension masts 14 by rack pinion type mechanisms. A lift stage 12 is fitted to a pair of drive frames 17 via brackets. The lift stage 12 is lifted integrally with the drive frames 17, the extension masts 14 are extended at the prescribed positions, and they are extended to the prescribed heights as aggregate masts 25. When the assembling work is finished, the inspecting work or the like is conducted on the lift stage. After the work is finished by this raise and fall type scaffold, the scaffold is disassembled.
