SOUND ABSORBING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorbing structure which has a good sound absorption characteristic in a wide frequency range and can enhance the sound absorption characteristic of desired frequency bonds according to purposes, etc., and a sound absorbing cover. SOLUTION: This sound absorbing structure is formed by laminating a film formed with through-holes on at least the surface of a porous body communicated with gaps, which surface faces a sound source. At least one of the through- holes are >=19 mm2 in their opening areas and the total of the opening areas occupies 1 to 70% of the area of the film forming surface of the porous body. The sound absorbing cover is formed by arranging this sound absorbing structure on the inner side of a cover body.
