A source multicasts information to a plurality of targets. The targets respond to the multicast information by sending acknowledgments that indicate receipt of the multicast information. The acknowledgments are merged into a merged acknowledgment, which is then supplied to the source. The source can determine from the merged acknowledgment whether the targets successfully received the multicast information. |
