The equipment for mechanical eradication of weeds between two plant rows comprises a sledge-type construction slidingly moved over ground with its slide irons determining the work depth or height of the weed eradicators. The equipment comprises two slide irons (1) between which is a connecting bar and a minimum of one weed eradicator such as a hoe, torsion weeder, finger weeder or disk harrow. The hoe blades (3) are fitted directly beneath the slide irons of the sledge. The slide irons gliding over the ground are guided by the ground and by the plants growing on both sides of the sledge. The device is pulled by a towing cable. The connecting bar is telescopic or foldable inwards and outwards so that the device has a starting and a work position.
