<p>A cement composition which comprises a Portland cement having a content of 3CaO . SiO2 of 60 wt % or more and a slowly cooled blast furnace slag powder, wherein the composition contains the slowly cooled blast furnace slag powder in an amount of 10 to 50 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of said composition. The cement composition exhibits initial strength expressing property comparable to that of ordinary Portland cement and also allows the reduction of the amount of the cement clinker fired, and thus is a cement composition which can be widely used in civil engineering and building industries and is of environmental load reducing type.</p> |
