PURPOSE: A method for designing the original form of a Korean style short coat for women is provided to simplify drawing work of the original form of the Korean style short coat and to improve the visual effect of composition thereof. CONSTITUTION: According to the more scientific and logical method for designing the original form of a Korean style short coat for women, reference items of calculation formula of the Korean style short coat are standardized, and a center line becomes a reference line of a design, thus a neckband and a collar strip of the Korean style short coat are symmetric with respect to the center line. Also, the width of the neckband is proportional to the width of a gusset by adopting a calculation formula of left and right neckband overlap degree. The round end portion of the neckband has a perpendicular shape.
