PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crusher 100 for subjecting a pair of disklike or cylindrical cutter bodies 5 each fitted to a rotary shaft 4 to rotational driving in a crushing section 2, engaging a material to be crushed C into each of the cutter bodes 5 and crushing the material C, and also to provide a technique for absorbing impact force caused by engagement of the material C into each of the cutter bodies 5, particularly when the material C is large and hard, and easily removing the material C engaged into each of the cutter bodies 5 from the crushing section 2, even when the rotary shaft 4 is stopped by an overload due to such engagement, in the crusher 100. SOLUTION: This crusher 100 is provided with a swing mechanism 50 consisting of: a bearing 7 which is used for supporting the rotary shaft 4 of one of the cutter bodies 5 and freely swingable in the direction of widening of the space between the bearing 7 and the wall surface of the crushing section 2, as compared with the normal space; a cylinder 8 which is connected to the bearing 7 and capable of changing the position of the bearing 7 in the swinging direction; and an accumulator 13 for absorbing variation in pressure of a working fluid for the cylinder 8, which pressure variation is caused by impact force from the bearing 7.
