PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding method and a grinding machine that can execute high-precision machining by suppressing deflection of a grinding tool and work due to heat in work machining. SOLUTION: A rotatively driven wheel spindle stock 22 mounted with grinding tools 26 on a surface opposed to work W has an internal chamber 25 and a plurality of holes 27 connecting to the chamber 25 in the surface opposed to, the work W. The chamber 21 is supplied with a cooling liquid 23, and the cooling liquid 23 is jetted from the holes 27 and is supplied direct to a machined surface of the work W, whereupon the machined surface of the work W is ground by the grinding tools 26.
