PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a signal transmitted to a pattern variation control means from a main control means, and easily promote diversification of a pattern variation of a pattern variation display means. SOLUTION: A pattern starting means 14 transmits the signal to the pattern variation control means 36 from the main control means 26 for controlling game operation on condition of detecting a game ball, and when variably controlling a pattern of the pattern variation display means 21 provided in a liquid crystal display means 13 capable of displaying a background image, a pattern variation pattern permutation according to a variation command signal transmitted from the main control means 26 is prestored in the pattern variation control means 36, a prescribed variation command signal is transmitted to the pattern variation control means 36 from the main control means 26, the pattern variation pattern permutation stored in the pattern variation control means 36 is selected by random number processing according to the variation command signal, and a pattern of the pattern variation display means 21 is varied according to the pattern variation pattern permutation.
