PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively sense a pressure pulse wave from the radial artery. SOLUTION: An attachment for sensing a pressure pulse wave is provided with a sensing operation section SH for contacting the skin of a subject and a attaching section AT for attaching a pressure-receiving plate 30b of a small pressure converter for converting the flexibility of the plate 30b to an electric signal. The plate 30b in the attaching section AT is formed so that the contacting face thereof has a shape able to be disposed in a flexible region of the plate 30b in order to transmit a pressure pulse wave of the artery to the section AT. Otherwise, the sensor is provided with the plate 30b supported so as to be flexible due to an action of an external force, a piezoelectric conversion means 1 for converting the flexibility of the plate 31b into an electric signal, and a pressure pulse wave transmission member BT provided so as to be continuous to the almost center of the flexible region of one face of the plate 30b in order to transmit the pressure pulse wave of the artery from the section SH to the plate 30b.
