PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always obtain cleaned water by automatically discharging activated carbon or the water of the flow channel on the downstream side of activated carbon before bacteria are propagated in activated carbon or the flow channel on the downstream side thereof. SOLUTION: The water cleaner is equipped with activated carbon, the electrically operated valve provided on the upstream side of activated carbon, a control means for opening and closing the electrically operated valve and a passing water detection means for detecting the passage of water to activated carbon. The control means openes the electrically operated valve for a second predetermined time when the passage of water to activated carbon is not performed for a first predetermined time.
