PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat having a means for simply controlling a leg rest and a foot rest so that the foot rest does not contact with a floor. SOLUTION: This seat is provided with a seat part, a backrest jointedly connected to a structural body of the seat so as to adjust its inclination, a leg rest tiltably jointedly connected to the structural body of the seat, a foot rest tiltably borne by the leg rest, and a control means for rotating the leg rest so as to prevent the foot rest from contacting with a floor and for controlling the projection or gradual retreat of the foot rest in a predetermined movement range. The control means is provided with an electronic circuit cooperating with an actuator in order to rotate the leg rest and to project or gradually retreat the foot rest at the same time. The electronic circuit cooperates with a means operable by a user in order to adjust the position of the foot rest between the maximum extension position and the complete retreat position corresponding to the movement range of the predetermined projection of the foot rest. |
