PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separate packaging machine capable of performing simultaneously manufacturing a sealing package strand, punching each of packages at an accurate position, separating each of packages from the strand and storing the separate package into a storing box. SOLUTION: There is provided a packaging machine 20 in which an item is fed out through a feeder 38 for arranging the item between strips of two packaging materials 32, 35 for use in sealing the item against respective packages while being connected together around the item by a closing segment 45, thereby the item is sealingly closed in the package. This packaging machine is comprised of a punching unit 80 for punching a hole 224 in the package; a separating unit for separating each of the packages from the strand; an overlapping unit 44; and a storing box 200.
