PURPOSE: To obtain a perfume composition having an excellent smell and excellent persistence due to new fixative, and to obtain a cosmetic, toiletry product, bathing agent, drink, food or a medicine having excellent smell and excellent scent-lingering property. CONSTITUTION: This method for reinforcing the smell and persistence of the perfume is characterized by formulating a compound represented by formula (D £A is H or OH; B is H or methyl; (n) is an integer of 0 to 2| into a perfume composition or one of the above-mentioned products. The amount of the compound formulated into the perfume composition is preferably 0. 01 to 90 wt.%, and when the compound is directly formulated into the product, the amount is preferably 0.0001 to 2.0 fold amount (weight ratio) the amounts of a smell- having ingredient and/or the perfume composition. Thereby, the perfume composition or product having enhanced smell and enhanced scent-lingering property is obtained without causing a problem on safety for human bodies. |
