Electric power steering mechanism comprises an endless screw (6) and a gear wheel (7) transmitting power from an electric motor (10) to a steering mechanism. The teeth of the gear wheel are partly made of synthetic resin and have an arced lower face matching the screw. An Independent claim is included for injection molding the teeth of a gear wheel as above. The mold is defined by two parts defining the diameter of the wheel and between them a relatively movable third part for defining the teeth. Preferred Features: The molded part of the gear teeth has a cut out (74a).
