<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decode a stream of a special reproduction output using an existing decoder by generating the special reproduction output which meets coding rules. SOLUTION: A demultiplexer 12 converts into an ES which is decoded to a digital video signal by a decoder 13, and displayed on a monitor 14. To output an MPRG stream of special reproduction, an output mode, for example FF, FR, and slow reproduction, is decided at an output control part 16, and the information on output mode is supplied to an analyzing/rewriting part 15. The analyzing/rewriting part 15 reads in the stream in an image unit, analyzes an image header, and performs a process required for realizing the output mode according to a mode information from the output control part 16. To output a special reproduction stream, the value of temporal-reference in the image header is overwritten to a correct value to invalidate the value of vbv- delay so that it is a bit stream compatible with an MPEG specification.</p> |
