PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a image communication apparatus capable of receiving color facsimile information from a transmitter which increases information amount due to a quantization table. SOLUTION: In the apparatus enabling communication of color information, a notifying means of a receivable memory capacity to notify the receivable memory capacity from a receiver to a transmitter and a transmission performing means of a color facsimile to decide a parameter related to a communication information amount at color communication and to perform a facsimile transmission of the color information with the memory capacity notified from the receiver.
