PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the time required for printing becomes longer in comparison with a system through a personal computer, since high throughput cannot be expected even if an individual device corresponding to direct printing has a series of processing functions. SOLUTION: In a system where digital camera 101, a printer 102 and a set top box 103 as a tuner for digital broadcasting are connected through a 1394 serial bus, for example, a program for processing the image is downloaded from the printer 102, with respect to the box 103 having no image processing function required in the case of direct printing. Then, the data processing time of a sample image is calculated for each processing stage and for each device and the execution device of data conversion is decided based on the processing time to perform efficient direct printing. |
