PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light tube for illumination that is capable of evenly lighting the surface of wide-width road without increasing the number of light tubes. SOLUTION: A tubular body 12 shaped as a pipe is provided, on its light- emitting part 11 disposed in its axial direction, with a prism surface 25 having prism grooves in the diagonal direction from the axial direction of the tubular body. The angle on the side of the acute angle formed by the prism grooves and the axial direction of the tubular body 12 (positioning angleϕ) may preferably be set at 15 deg.-65 deg.. Further, two or more of the prism surfaces 25 may be provided so that the positioning angleϕwill become large toward the circumference of the tubular body or that the width in the direction of the circumference will become wider.
