PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitter which is free from secondary strains. SOLUTION: A series of optical fiber transmission system composed of optical transmitters 10, optical fibers 20, optical receivers 30, BPFs 40, and mixers 50 is designed to divide wide-band signals to be transmitted into a plurality of divided-band signals under a condition where the upper limited frequency does not exceed the twofold of the lower cut-off frequency on a frequency spectrum so that each divided band will not overlap secondary strain band (a differential beat band and a summed beat band) which occur in the transmission system. The transmission system transmits each divided-band signal. Consequently, the optical receivers 30 receive the divided bands separately from secondary strain bands on the frequency spectrum. Thereafter, the BPFs 40 intercept the secondary strain bands, namely, only extract the divided-band signals. Finally, the mixers 50 restore the original wide-band signals by mixedly piling up the extracted divided-band signals upon another. Therefore, the wide- band signals are transmitted without secondary strains. |
