<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the processing load on a processor and enable constituent components of a bit stream processor to obtain required information each at an adequate timing. SOLUTION: In a bit stream processor, a header analyzer 103 adds index information allotted by a processor 107 to each picture. Just after generating processing information required for processing each picture, the processor 107 generates a set of required processing information and the same index information as that added to the picture. A decoding processor 104 receives each picture having the index information added by the analyzer 103 in the condition of holding the set generated by the processor. The decoding processor 104 compares the just received one index information with each index information being now held and, if box index information match, decodes the now received picture using the same set of processing information.</p> |
