PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable output from an AGC amplifier by appropriately performing AGC on the amplifier even when the amplifier receives a transmission unit containing no signal. SOLUTION: A discriminator 203 discriminates the threshold of an estimated channel value outputted from a channel estimating section 105 at every transmission unit for discriminating the presence/absence of received signals. When no received signal is contained in a discriminated transmission unit, an AGC voltage controller 204 reads out the preceding AGC voltage from an AGC voltage memory 205 and makes an AGC voltage equal to the preceding AGC voltage.
