The net is assembled of several parallel positioned rows of zigzagging filaments (1) joined with straight links (4). The curved part (2A, 2B) of the u-shaped individual segment is high, but narrow, while the two straight parts (3) are wide, but flat. The rows are joined with each curved part (2A, 2B) located opposite a gap at the adjacent row, forcing the straight link (4) to bridge a diagonal stretch from one curved part (2A) to the next opposite bend (2B). When the net is longitudinally joined along one side in order to form a pipe, the links (4) are caused to form different angles (4A, 4B, 4C) in relation to the overall surface (10) because of their individual positions.
